The Liaison team is made up of hundreds of creative marketing professionals from all walks of life.

Our Leadership Team

Dave Claunch

Founder & President

Dave is the visionary and tireless leader of Liaison, a company that grew out of his passion for serving others. He recognized the need and had the drive to connect the dots between creative talent and the companies that need it.

Dave graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a computer science degree and spent the early part of his career working in prepress and digital imaging before founding Liaison in 1991. Over the years, he has served on the Board of Directors for several volunteer organizations including the local chapters of the Austin Advertising Federation and the Printing and Imaging Association of Mid-America, the Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and E4 Youth. Dave was voted “Ad Man of the Year” by the Austin Advertising Federation and presented with their Silver Service Award. He was given the “Volunteer of the Year Award” by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and selected as “Citizen of the Year” and “Westlake Hero” by the Westlake Chamber of Commerce.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Dave is an amateur woodworker specializing in cabinetry and woodturning. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife Susan and their two sons.

Mora Eis, SPHR

Vice President of Human Resources

A teacher by trade with more than a decade of human resources experience, Mora is a skilled listener who leads by example in her service to Liaison employee and client satisfaction. Employees have a true champion in Mora as she makes note of employee professional strengths and takes immense pride in advising on all HR topics to meet the needs of clients and employees alike.

Armed with a degree in writing intensive english and elementary education from Marquette University, Mora parlayed her transferrable skills into HR management roles, led by her passion to help people. In short, Mora is the compassionate force that empowers employees to keep the Liaison engine burning.

Mora moved to Austin from the DFW area, but spent her life moving to new locations around the US and Europe. She enjoys spending time with her amazing family, reading books, traveling, movies, hiking and boxing (doing, not watching!). She and her family share their home with a beautiful & affectionate Snowshoe Siamese cat, a slightly crazy, but brilliant Jindo dog and various fish.

Amy Pedersen

Director of Finance

Amy is the financial brain of Liaison, responsible for managing and operating the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, general ledger, reporting/forecasting and, last but certainly not least, payroll, making her the fan favorite of Liaison’s employees.

This Waco native always knew accounting was her vocational path, proven by her summa cum laude status upon graduating from Baylor University with a dual degree in finance and accounting. She also received her CPA license in 1994. Who needs a calculator when you have Amy nearby?

Amy tossed her graduation hat in the air in 1991, left Waco for Austin and can’t imagine living anywhere else. When Amy isn’t whipping Liaison’s books into shape, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, one son, three dogs, two cats and a partridge in a pear tree.

The biggest animal lover at Liaison, she once ran a cat rescue nonprofit called Amy Beth Kitties. Amy now fosters dogs and cats with Second Chance Mason Animal Rescue, nursing the pets to good health and adopting them out to fill her friends’ and family’s homes with love in the form of four-legged children.

Scott Huber

Director of Talent Strategy

As the Director of Talent Strategy, Scott is driven to pay it forward every day. Early in his career someone gave him a chance, helping him bridge his skills and ambition into an opportunity that was mutually beneficial for his career and the company. This is his daily motivator at Liaison.

He harnesses the power of his training in mechanical engineering and commercial art to herd creative cats on the daily.  Scott has a wide range of experience as a metaphorical shepherd, working in a variety of roles including Creative Director in Educational Publishing, consulting with National Geographic School Publishing, and Project Management with Industrial Designers at Dell.

Scott followed his brother from the frigid plains of Minnesota to Austin, and has been here ever since. At home Scott actually herds two kids and two cats. He volunteers with E4 Youth, an Austin-based organization that connects underserved students in the area to multifaceted creative industries.  In his spare time he enjoys road biking, long boarding, and can often be found sketching and dabbling in silk screening.

Sam Arnold

Talent & Communications Strategist

Sam is a man of many talents. By day, he works alongside the director of talent strategy to identify opportunity and match with ideal design, video and e-marketing candidates. He helps clients by providing talent marketing information, leading the process of advising managers on building marketing and creative teams, or steering them to a project-based solution. He also publishes Liaison’s internal newsletter TeamNews and blog SWOOSH.

By night, this Michigan native is a professional musician. Since 2001, he has performed, composed, arranged, and recorded with several bands including Sam Arnold and the Secret Keepers and Opposite Day. He’s a vocalist, guitarist and bassist. With a limitless love of all genres of music – from heavy metal to Turkish folk music – Sam is the human Spotify of the Liaison office, notifying his peers of the latest and greatest tunes to suit their interests.

When he isn’t at Liaison or gigging, he enjoys international travel with his soon-to-be wife and hanging out in their East Austin neighborhood.

Amanda Hall

Human Resources Assistant

All the world’s a stage and Amanda is well prepared with her theatre degree from Texas State University. After several years as an acting and modeling agent here in Austin, Amanda realized that her skills matching future stars with great opportunities could be best utilized in the staffing world. After developing and rolling out HR best practices at a large multi-national staffing firm, she decided she wanted to work with a more creatively-focused group. Enter Liaison Creative + Marketing!

This detail-oriented dynamo is the front line of Liaison’s HR support. She takes great pride in her work onboarding new employees, ushering them into the Liaison family and making sure they take advantage of all the benefits and programs our team has to offer. She prioritizes establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with Liaison candidates, employees and clients.

Amanda, our well-traveled Army Brat, was born in New Boston, Texas. She grew up near Fort Hood and relocated to the Austin area in 1998. When she isn’t connecting the dots that form Liaison’s community, she and her husband can be found indoors, playing video games, binge-watching Netflix, and ordering take-out.

She also makes sure to carve out time for her sci-fi / fantasy media obsessions. Amanda’s all about getting invested in a good series: books, movies, TV shows, graphic novels, you name it! If you find yourself on a trivia game show, and your game-winning question is about Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Doctor Who or Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you want Amanda as your phone-a-friend.

Alex Boase

Studio Project Manager

A fan of fast-paced environments, Alex feels right at home at Liaison and enjoys the diversity of challenges he meets each day at the office. A proud Horned Frog from Texas Christian University, Alex has a background in marketing and advertising, but more recently has been studying agile practices to hone his skills as a digital product manager.

Alex takes learning seriously. He reads at least one book every month and is listening to TED talks and podcasts in between reads. Alex prides himself on learning new ways to improve him and his team, and is constantly trying and testing what he’s learned in the workplace. When he’s not in the office, Alex regularly attends local seminars and panels, and occasionally speaks at meetup groups and events on the topics of productivity and management.

Alex joined the HQ Studio team as a project manager after teaching skiing in the Colorado Rockies. In his year on the slopes, he skied over a million vertical feet and clocked 110 days on the mountain. Alex believes the best way to learn is to teach; while at Forbes’ #1 ranked ski school in the world, Alex was recognized for his tenacity and awarded a scholarship to attend the Logan Academy for Ski Instructors, based in Vail, Co.

On the weekends, Alex can be found on a paintball field. As the founder of TCU’s collegiate paintball league, he led the team of Horned Frogs to become the 4th ranked team in the nation. Alex also spends his free time tinkering with music instruments and making music, or playing with design as graphic artist.

Amber Ross

Studio Project Manager

Amber has taught Liaison HQ that the combination of a major in finance and minor in radio-television-film is a stellar formula for a project manager. After completing her program at The University of Texas at Austin, Amber’s work supported commercial banking and television companies before landing at Liaison.

Amber’s first experience as a Liaisonian was as a grip on a one-day video shoot. She became a more permanent member of the Liaison landscape by joining a client’s Managed Services team as the video coordinator. Three years later, she joined HQ as a project manager in The Studio. Working in just about every role at Liaison, Amber possesses great insight into the workings of the company as well as client needs and winning strategies.

Amber is no stranger to adventure! One month after their wedding, she and her husband packed their lives into a travel trailer to see the continental United States in nine months. This California-native now resides in Austin with her husband (a fellow Liaisonian!), two boys and one sweet silver lab rescue pup.

Karell Caldera

IT Systems Manager

Anna Goncharova

Anna is the primary point of contact to navigate Liaison’s network and the smiling face that greets you as you enter the HQ office. She earned a degree in fashion merchandising, with a focus in marketing, from Austin Community College. With a background in hospitality and retail, Anna has years of fine-tuning her people skills, patience and time management – key qualities for her current role.

Anna moved to Austin in 2001 with her family from her home of Uzbekistan. She’s a semi pro beach volleyball player and enjoys the many courts around Austin as well as competing in women’s doubles in Texas, Florida and California (especially Santa Monica). Anna also loves kayaking and biking around Lady Bird Lake. When she isn’t enjoying the great outdoors, she can be found painting with watercolors. Anna believes in the importance of a creative outlet and vitamin D.
